painting the key hole on trunk

painting the key hole on trunk

has anyone painted the key hole on the trunk red to match the center plastic thing and hopefully blend it in. im pretty sure im going to do this but just thought i would post to see if anyone else has done this before

You could paint it, but the key will probably rip some of the paint off and make it look worse than it does unpainted. Only thing I can think of that would hold up is MAYBE powder coating it.

yeahi thought about that but in the two years ive had my max ive never used the key to open the trunk.
