Last night, about 11:30, I was driving to Jack In the box to get something to eat. I had four other people with me. I see this 89 Chevy in front of me at a stoplight so I decide that I'm gonna pick on him. I ended up next to him with about 2 miles of open road until the next light. I revved at him and he rolled down the window and said, "Are you serious?" I was like yeah, roll from 45." He said alright and then we went. I smoked him by like 4 cars until I shut it down. Then we pulled up to the stoplight. To make a long story short, I got smoked. I got too much wheelspin and he just took off. If we had gone further, I would have caught up, but oh well. Afterwards, I talked to him at the light, and he said that he had a V8, earlier he had lied and said he had a V6, he was cool and at least I didn't do a ricer flyby after I lost.

Cliff Notes-Beat a chevy truck off the roll, and then got beat at a stoplight very bad.

 

Trunks have all their torque geared in the 1st and 2nd gear. They suck on the top end. Thats why you got smoked off the line.

 

I know that but I usually can reel them in before I go to third if a get a good start.

 

It shamed me worse then the Toyota Mr2 turbo that I raced. I couldn't believe how fast it was for an SUV! Yea, and off the line...I raced it again (friend of mine) from like 50 and killed it. Those JGC's can tow something crazy like 8000 pounds so they must have crazy amounts of low end torque.
