Hey to all. havent been here lately cause the max is doing good. Well one prob, when i try to come out of a parking spot. i cut teh wheel all the way, the car shuts off. before it shuts off it makes a whining noise/humming kinda noise. the p.s fluid is sometimes low, when its level, still shuts off when its all the way to one side. Could it be the pump or a hose? Going to mech on friday, i dont need no surprizes

btw: to all who had their tranny rebuilt, when on a hill and u put in D or R does it take a second longer to go in gear?? time to visit the tranny guy? hope not.

probably your power steering pump about to die on you. seems pretty common for our cars now that they're getting to be old clunkers! I the one on my parts car sold before I even got the car back from the insurance company!


My 93 is also doing the same thing now, so when you get yours fixed please reply to this post and let me/us know what had to be done!

 

Mine went out. I bought a new one from a local auto parts store for $150, and paid $100 to have it put on.

 

Yeah, I kinda have a similar problem with mine. When I cut the wheel all the way to the left, the last rotation causes a loud humming/vibration. It used to only do it the fist time, and wouldnt do it again until the next time I drove the car. Now it seems to happen all of the time. I used to live with it before, but now it happens so often Im getting worried. Does this mean Im gonna need a new pump?

 

Its the Pressure hose thats leaking. its leaking all over about 90 for hose 30 for labor...the part im seeking is the center rear light assembly. the part that doesnt light up (on trunk) mine is kinda broken, ne 1 have one to sell or where can i go online?

 

I've got one for a 92-94 GXE.. dunno if it will fit for 89-91 models, but I'll check at the dealer when I go by there later.
