What speakers will fit in the original bose pods in the front doors for an '89 maxima, without any modification? I'm in the process of removing the bose system from my car and re-doing my stereo. I'm also open to suggestions if anyone has any better ideas... I just don't really want to get to involved or spend too much money but i want decent sound. thanks in advance.

 

go to a nissan dealership and ask them you might be able to go somewhere else like audio king and cross reference them to get new ones. Or you can customize the box that fits there. I think im going to do that because when I had stupid adio king do it they taped in my two fornt speakers.

 

Bose systems in 3rd Gens are the following speaker sizes:

Front: 4"
Rear: 6x9

Non-Bose:

Front: 4x6
Rear: 5.25"
