Hi I am new to this forum, I had a 1990 maxima GXE. I am having dashboard problem the dashboard I had is digital, it went dead on me. I went to a shop they told me that it will cost me 300 to 400 to replace the part another 100 for labor.

My question is:

1. is it worth it to fix it?
2. is there any other guages I can put on it, so far I only found rpm gauges but not mph?
3. if i am going to replace the dashboard is it possible to change it back to the normal one??
4. does anyone had the same problem before?

I had the same problem. The digital dash totally quit on me. Sounds like a bargain what your're getting. I removed the dash myself, very easy process, and sent it to a place in CA for repair. Cost me $325, got it back in less than a week, and it has worked great ever since.
