Factory Alarm Acting Stupid???

can somebody help me my alarm goes off when I open my trunk with my key I know this is not supposed to happen, has this happend to anyone else? By the way I have a 91 gxe.

I didn't think that the alarm allowed trunk access even with the key while armed? Simply pop the trunk from inside, lock and shut door, it should still sense the open door (trunk) and automatically arm once trunk is closed.

on my car if the doors are locked and i open the trunk it goes off, i just unlock the doors and pop it and lock back, its pretty annoying

I can open my trunk with my key, and the alarm doesn't go off...

Hope you find out what the problem is, or maybe it's me that has the problem

i read on this forum one time that if someone tampers with the trunk lock that it will cause the alarm to go off. my alarm goes off sometimes with the key. my theory is that the key is most likely work down a bit and when you try to open the tunk with the worn down key it sometimes thinks someone is tampering with the lock. causing it to go off. my key is a little worn down.
