ok, i had a tape player from an 89-91 max in mine. it didn't really work right. the volume wouldn't go very loud. don't ask me why. but if you have a CDplayer i'll gladly take it off your hands. i've been trying to get one forever!!!!

If you're willing to spend the money for a bose system, I'd take that money and put it into an aftermarket system... you'l spend less money, and have better sound quality, not to mention life of your system!

I picked one up at a local boneyard for $200. 1995 double din w/CD, super clean, and a 6-month guarantee. Now all I have to do is figure out the f***ing wiring! (See my post in audio). Anyway, they're out there. Check car-part.com (not carparts.com). Good luck! Dave
BTW, I also live right by the airport.

Done! Nice looking site you have there. The forum on local shops and dealers should be especially useful for a regional group!

The 89 - 90 units output less power from the receiver. The amps are stronger though, which more than compensates for it. (meaning I think those systems are slightly louder)

The 91 - units output more power, but the capacitors are 820 uf versus the 1000's that the 89-90 units have.

IF you'd like more info, check my site on the FAQ's
