My 93' upon startup has a raspy noise or sounds like the wind is running through it or combination of the two. After running for about 3-4 minutes, it seems to quieten down and even disappear. I have been told it could be a broken manifold bolt(which I have checked and found nothing)or a heat shield on the catylitic converter that is a little loose and when the car warms up the metal expands and the noise quietens down and disappears. Can anyone tell me your opinion and help me find out what is making this noise? I feel the noise is coming from the right side of the motor, but it's hard to tell. Any info would be appreciated. i have the same problem with my max. it sounds like its coming from the right side too. the sound goes away after the car warms up for a couple of minutes. the colder the day is, the longer it lasts. i could use some help too. thanks
