Hello Gentlemen! It is a sad day for me, this halloween. As it turns out, I am not going to be able to get the 91 Max SE from my buddy. It's a long story so I won't bore you with the details, but it really sucks because it is a nice car and I really wanted it.

But.. BUT....... I am still in the market of course for a very NICE 3rd gen SE 5 speed. It will be January before I will buy it, but I can start hunting for my baby right now. I am not picky about color, as long as it is not baby blue or whatever that light blue color on some of them was. Year wise, I want one that is either a 91, 93 or 94. The reason I want to skip a 92 is because of the VTC problem, and I've heard that the 93's and 94's have this problem corrected. Is this correct? If anyone knows of a creampuff car in the Southeast that meets these criteria please let me know.

Thanks!

Matt... I would probably be willing to travel, but I won't be ready until January. What kinds of prices have you been seeing on these? Also, do you know if the VTC problem was fixed for these years? If not, I would settle for a nice 91 with a VG.

Thanks.

I dunno.. I've just seen lots in the dealerships around here.. a couple N/A Zs too- you can pick up a 92 N/A Z for about the same price as you can a '94 SE max.

I'll run by a dealer tomorrow on my lunch break and see what they want for them..
