car jerking around and rpm rapidly decreasing?

car jerking around and rpm rapidly decreasing?
i was leaving csun today and at a stop my car starts jerking. the steering wheel and everything is shaking and i notice the rpm is decresing and increasing very rapidly. i hope its not the tranny if it is im screwed

I hate to break it to you......
but that sounds like what happen before my first rebuild.....
