Are you able to adjust the shifter to its lowest setting? If so how much did you have to bang in your heat shield? I am gonna have to do this soon because I am not getting full use of my short shifter, and we all know there is nothing worse then getting a mod and not getting any real results from it (besides "mental horsepower" like my Nismo Shoulder Pads that added a healthy 35 horses). But yeah I was just curious how much "adjusting" to the heat shield was neccessary. Thanks!

I just took off the heat shield and gave it a couple good hits with a large mallet right in the middle. Probably made about 1-2" change. Only thing is you want to secure the sides when you hit it (wedge it up against a wall or something) so you dont just flatten the thing out and have the sides slide further out rather than putting a dent in it; this way the screw holes will still line up when you go to put it back on.
