There should be some sort of relay box some where, might be near the wiper motor mounted near the fender or on the opposite side in the same area. It looks like a box of cards with a mounting tab on the top. It should be green or blue.

Ok so today's update. Since the wipers werent working unless it was on full speed, we tore more **** apart and found that the shorted wires extended far right on the car. So after rippin up the electrical tape and getting that big chunk of burnt together wires and pullin em apart, we've concluded that that's all of the kentucky fried wires in my car. Tomorrow we start replacing all with new wire, saudering, heatshrinking and testing some more before putting together. Here are some pictures for those that are keeping up with my story. After everything is good, we will be rewiring my power seats to the back of the fuse panel instead of the cig lighter so its not as much of a halfassed job as it was (thanks Brian)
Wires on harness behind steering wheel all fried
A lil' closer
Another closer look that shoes teh naked sexy *****es that caused a huge nightmare
An outside look.

My g/fs dad was a mechanic/tech at the Nissan dealership near our house back in 87-90, while he was cleaning out his garage earlier today he found some of his old training booklets and thought I might want them so I took em and heres 2 pics, I'll be reading em to see if there's anything useful in there.

Here's to hoping you guys find every bare wire and are correct in assuming the cause of this disaster so it doesn't happen again. Are you positive you've found all the faults? If this were my car, I don't think i'd settle for anything less than "new" wiring harness' from the junkyard. For peace of mind at the least. A wire that gets hot enough to melt can easilly melt a wire from an unaffected circuit that it is bundled with. If the worst affected wire is blue/orange, it doesn't mean that somewhere along the line it didn't melt the insulation off of another completely seperate wire or wires..
Ha! Wait, that's not fair, he didn't donate, where's my free avatar?

man i give you mad props.
before i bought the maxima i had a integra (got it for free).
replaced the fuse box in the engine bay (brakelight.horn melted the whole **** box).
the parklight and fogs did'nt work.
i found the problem...thought i fixed it.
it made it's way into the cabin melted wire to do with the ecm.
was 1/2 way done could get the engine started so i sold it.
how did this start do you know?

Yea I know I originally wanted to just swap the harness which USTFDES has for me but my gfs dad says its not that bad, he's seen worse and this one is still salvageable. I'm not going against him cuz he's been right EVERYTIME even when I have suggested something else. He already knew that I suggested a new harness so in case of anything, I'm sure he'll give me a hand
As for update: today was a long day for me so I wasnt able to pick him up RIGHT AWAY afterwork plus considering I worked 2 extra hours. We did what we could in 3 hours, pretty much saudered like 8 cables/heatshrinked..just got a couple more to go and its testing time.
Just dropped my instrument panel buttons at fellow 4th genners house to get LEDs/resistors installed but I would like my climate controls done as well, does anyone know it its got a bulb for every button on the climate or just 2 big ones?

Well, he's just naming a possibility. Take everything apart like I did and ask yourself the question Its what I had to do.
Check FSM and look up the harness diagram, I'll show where the harness are routed though. Once you've found that see where the Bose wires should be and BLA take apart.

I hate to admit this but I'm actually kinda having trouble puttin some of the things back, such as the routing for that big *** harness and then the lil one with the cluster cables. Anyone actually take the time to take good pictures? oh and the ducts, any pics?
thanks in advance

If you can get one for me and I'll pay you in a weekly basis I'll do it, other than that I can get one yet. I need the motor mount first and I'll get that from you on monday. All I got left from my paycheck is 50 bucks and they're all going to you bastard guy.
So how about a hand with this?
