Fuel Pump Problems
Fuel Pump Problems
A few weeks ago, a guy hit the rear panel of my friend's 92 SE behind the gas door and down about 6". It left a pretty deep dent (2" deep, about a square foot of area), and now that he's tried to drive it to the shop, it won't start... which makes me believe that the fuel pump line or some wiring got cut back there. It drove home fine and started once, but thats it, and the fuel pump doesn't come on. Anyone know if that's the problem?

There are 3 relays in the trunk area.
There is a panel(soft) that lines the rear most portion of the trunk that has to be removed to get at the relays( this panel also has access lids for rear stop lamp/rev lights etc) remove the plastic strip on lip of trunk to expose the relays which are orange=safety relay, green=fuel pump, and blue is the latch relase relay.
Swap it with any green relay in fact i think there is only one other green one located in the hood area right on the fender driver side(engine control) swap em and turn ign to on and listen for pump operation dont try to start cause you need a good Engine control relay for car to work. You can also chk the fuel pump fuse first as that is quite easy and its located in the fuse panel left of steering wheel I think its the first one top right the label would indicate the correct one.
Good luck hope this helps.
