"okay"

well now i uploaded the video where you hear an abnormal sound when i shift gears. And when i shift [as of now] it's like a jolt as it makes it's transition into first.

Sounds like a broken motor/transmission mount,or maybe loose/broken exhaust parts...Most likely a mount..

Sounds like someone needs mounts. Get a second person to step on the brakes while the the car is on Reverse and Drive as you observe whether engine moves or not when the other person gives it some gas. pardon the run on sentence. no time to edit!

damn you wayne, beat me to it

i believe there are 4 mounts, one trans and 3 engine. My gxe makes a similar sound to urs and i know its the mounts. Soon enough il get them. If you only get one mount, the new, strong mount will effectively destroy the old weaker mounts. So you will need all four in time or u could just get them all at once. I was thinking of just gettin one or two but john steered my in the right direction once again....

as 92 GXE said that he learned from john, that john learned from me.
do all the mounts at once. whichever mount you don't replace will become the weakest link and will fail in a short time after you've replaced the others.
PM me and I'll see what I can do for you on a set of mounts that aren't junk.

Tune up:
1. Distributor Cap (Preferably OEM)
2. Distributor Rotor (Preferably OEM)
3. Sparkplug Wires/Ignition Cables (same thing)
4. 6 sparkplugs (preferably OEM/NGK)
5. Air Filter
6. Fuel Filter
7. PCV Valve
8. Di-Electric Grease for sparkplug wires
9. Injector cleaner
10. Oil +filter+crush washers if you wanna go all the way.
11. Small hose clamps, Fuel injection clamps are a plus.

Thats just to get you started, get those parts and then we'll go from there. Expect to pay $75-$100 bucks for everything

Tools needed:
1. 1/4 and/or 3/8 Rachet
2. 8mm socket for cap/rotor removal (you can use phillips too)
3. Channel locks/pliers to remove hose off PCV Valve
4. 13/16 sparkplug socket with rubber inside to hold sparkplug in place.
5. phillips screw driver/pliers to remove fuel filter
6.oil filter wrench to remove oil filter (duh)
7. 14mm socket for oil drain plug

If I missed anything.... I guess you'll find out and let me know :P

Looks good except he has the VE. Pull out your coils (Held in by one screw for the front 3 cylinders, 2 for the rear) And check for any cracks in the front one's. If you don't find cracks, I would wait until you finish all other inexpensive tune up items to see if it helps your car, before replacing these. So in Johns help above, just ignore the distributor, rotor, and spark plug ignition wires.

ok well i had a little mishap on weds. of last week..long story short, someone cut me off, i avoided the crash by trying to go around (on the grass; and it was snowing) and i lost control [it kept sliding to the right], hit several dips and came to a complete stop/the car cut off about 3-5 feet from an electricity pole. it turned back on but the idle was very rough...much worse then before. (i thought it was the tranny) but come to find out (cuz it's been in the shop since saturday) that 3 fuel injectors are done/getting replaced and the grand total of that is $700

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/5...fd017e48e5.htm

my tires marks imprinted in the snow 2 days after the incident.

i got my car back from the shop and the power felt weak/hesistating between no throttle and 2000rpms then the new fuel injecters kicked in. i stopped to get some gas and when i started it back up, it turned over but cut right back off. I went to start it back up and it turned over fine. It did the same this morning. then when i got to school (30 minutes later) smoke was coming out my exhaust and it smelt like unburnt fuel (serious this time) and the idle dropped again..then i went to pick up my friend came back, she even said the smell was awful. Then i let the car sit for about 3 minutes tried to crank it up and it wouldn't start. tried it again, same thing. tried it a third time with full throttle and it BARELY started. as i was cranking it before with no throttle (automatic) smoke was pouring out the exhaust. My friend said it might be a blown head gasket...if that's the case...there goes that $750 down the drain...

What color was the smoke?

Have you looked at your oil or coolant to see if they are contaminated?

A wild guess: shop dropped something into cylinder while changing injectors.

the color of the smoke was like a light blue. it smelt like gas to me inside and out the cabin...especially with the heat on.

the mechanic said one of the FIs is getting too much gas (which explains how i filled up last night and am below 3/4 in less then 50 miles) so he's fixing it now and i should have it back tomorrow hopefully..

it was a mixture of both [blue & white smoke]. Yeah my grandmother told me that (the burning oil thing)

On the start up it was white and when it's just idle white semi-thick smoke with a gas-like smell and when I'm driving it was blue and would smell like gas in the cabin whilst driving with the heat on..so i had to turn on the A/C..

I would hate to butt in, but this thread has been random anyway, where were you able to get such nice wheels and tires for so little and did you need to modify anything, spacers etc for them. I want 97-99 wheels, but I cant find them anywhere at a decent price. Good luck with your car, I had to get all my injectors replaced, but it has been smooth ever since, way worth it to keep the car
