17" Chrome American Racing Carerras

Any opinons on these wheels? Looking at getting them with a Tomohawk rubber set up, should look pretty tight... I saw a Z28 with some of the exact same 17" chrome today and they looked damn nice on it! What do you guys think? By the way, internet is still down (I love trying to get help from university people... it takes forever.) but in the meantime I've added a straight-pipe exhaust system (no muffler, just a long pipe from the cat. out.) it sounds tight.. like a nice camaro or somethin, and I'm going to install the Warpspeed CAI next weekend with my cousin... should be tight, and getting those Carerras this week probably.

Check em out: http://www.americanracing.com/wheels...=ChromeCarrera

they're alright, not too great looking, but then again I'm not a real fan of chromies on our cars to begin with....but if you like them go for it!

If you could get one set of rims from American Racing, what would you get? Just go to www.americanracing.com/wheels

well, if I had to pick some rims from AR, I'd go with the Estrellas and then have them powdercoated "gunmetal grey"....

If I had to choose, I'd take the Speedsters, but that's if I HAD to choose

gotta go with 18's

if your gonna get rims, get 18's man. chrome or alloy dont matter. i dont really like the ones you had picked out though. i prefer chrome over alloy, only if it is not too tacky.

I dont really like

chrome . Its played out. get black ice. I sell roh wheels with the black ice finish. look in my sig for info or in my profile for my pics. way nicer than chrome. I have an account with AR how much are you paying I might be able to get you a better price. And 17"s look good. I had my rims in 18" and they looked good but the ride was sh*t
so I got 17"s and the ride is much better. but if you need to say you have 18"s then get them, but your really not pimpin until your sittin on dubs.

I totally agree with this. You also shouldn't not pick a set of rims because some people don't like them. Go with what you like (you'll have to live with it everyday) and don't worry so much about what's "overused" or "popular", unless you are making a point of being different.

...mind you, the fact that we're driving Maximas already sets us apart from the rest
