Maxima would not start

Maxima would not start
I went to start the maxima after charging the battery, I put the key in theignition and the alarm went off, several minutes later I tried it again and it still went off. So my dad pulled the horn and alarm fuses and the car started. Is there a way to disarm the alarm so it would start, or what?
