Strange symptoms, engine light on?

Hi all, yesterday i started my car to warm it up in the morning. The engine light came on for about 5mins during the warm up. During that time the car was idling really high. I thought maybe the engine was really cold being it was the winter. Then the light came off and the car ran normal again.

Today i started it up and everything was fine, but 5mins after i was on the road the engine light came on, the car started idling really high, if i come to a slow the car would kinda shake. There is also a lost of power. I havent driven in water in months!!! After letting it rest for 2 hours i started it up again and the engine light is still on, the car sounds strange and its idling high. Please help

Thanks
Khemraj.

My car does this also but only after its been cold around 40 degrees if it sits overnight when i turn it on in the morning it will shoot up to like aaround 4 or 3k then drop back down to around 1 and if i dont let it warmup if i put it in drive or reverse and dont give it gas till it warms up it will cut off for some reason. And yes it will do like this hard shaking rolling thing if im stopped at a light or something before it is completeley warmed up. Dont know what is is but ii live in florida so im lucky only happens if it sits all night in low temp.

if you take your car to the shop, i WILL kill you. We went through this with your tachometer as well... i convinced you it was an easy job, you bought my tach, you put it in, you were happy.

click that link. meditate, do whatever. but click that link. READ IT. and watch the video. it's a bird's eye view of EXACTLY how to do it. You literally CANNOT mess it up. If you do, then I will lose all faith in mankind, because it's easy as ... letting a girl ride you; no joke.

Sorry for my super late reply, Iv had a terrible flu over the weekend..i feel i ive gotten hit by a 89 maxima . Anyways i did read everything, although i didnt understand the code chart at autozone.com. I looked for that little module in my car, but i couldnt find it anywhere? Anyways, because i was sick i asked my cousin to take a look at it, hes a mechanic. He did a (blue light test) i forgot what its called, but it showed my #5 injector wasn't working right or probably not working at all...this caused the slight missing. I'm gonna take the car to pepboys and get it flushed out, hopefully that fixes it. If not i'll try to hit a junk yard up for a new injector...do you guys recommend changing all 6? or just that one...

Thanks
KHemraj

the module is behind the ashtray. you get to that side of it by removing the black plastic panel which is located at your passenger's left foot (if leg is extended)

P.S. Something funny really happened yesterday, I was double checking my plug wires...i was holding the hood with one hand and the other i use to follow each wire to make sure they were in the right firing order. I GOT ShoCkEd when i touch one of the wires... Is that suppose to happen?? lol

An Arcing wire is enough to make the car miss alone. Put electrical tape around the wire that shocked you and get new wires.
