Just curious for opinions...that's all...Do you think that the rims go well on my car? The back isn't lowered yet because my stupid mechanic thinks that the rear springs are "too short". I think that he just doesn't know what he's doing. If i had a spring compressor, I'd do it myself. Anyone know of a national chain (i.e Midas, Mineke, etc) that will install "customer parts"? Thanks!
oh yeah...I'm working on shrinking that picture (below) sorry if it's taking a bit to load for you 56k guys!

you can rent a spring compressor at any parts store. they'll even give your money back when you return it.

Re: nice nice

DOH....Actually the reason the fogs are gone is because i was involved in a "fender bender" and had to go to the junkyard for a new bumper...the only one they had was off of a GXE....I might have the Fogs laying around here somewhere...If i find them, I'll let you know...in fact, I can give them to you if I can find them...

an import performance shop will overcharge for installation of the springs. just find some mechanic place, or go to midas and they can do it, since people with normal maximas need replacement springs and shocks too.

i don't like the fog's on the SE's
i think their ugly
to square and bulky, they stand out and look like their not ment to go there.
maybe something small that fit into the bumper.

Beauty

Looks nice. Rims - elegant.
I have the same body colour. Advantageous in sunny days.
But I think the rear wing slightly disfigures the image plus difficulties when washing the trunk.

Good luck,

To aim the lights, just pull up to a level spot in front of a building or your garage door and adjust them. Question: when you put in your lights, do they slant down a little toward the grill? Mine do, just wondering.

It's a very good-looking car. You did yours up basically the way I want to set mine up when I get it, (if ever!) The wheels are very complimentary to the BMW-esque styling of the 3rd gen Max. Nice job- and not at ALL ricey!!! I love the proper performance-touring sedan look.

What color is your car. It looks gold but I cant really tell with your pic. Just wondering because mine is gold and looks very simular to the one that is photoshoped on your home page. Damn I wish I could get a picture of it. You guys will peobably love it. I know I do.

I think it needs to be lowered more. Then the rims will make it look nicer. Also if you arent planning on getting ground effects then painting the bottom strip on the car a different color makes it look nice. Just some ideas.

ok thanks....the front is lowered 1.5" but the back hasn't yet because my (ex)mechanic is a dumbass. He thinks that the back springs are "too short"..no **** they're short! Just not too short. In the future I plan on putting ground effects on it, just not TOO soon...(need $$$)

As for the photoshop....which pict are you talking about? The "Next on Fox: When good cars go Rice!" <--that one?
http://www.geocities.com/shibbeler1/Pictures.html (the "P" has to be capitalized) I found that picture on maxima.org...It's not mine, I just think that it looks cool (kinda)(riceboy..oh i said it!) so i posted it on my webpage.

I will create a different signature so everyone can see more of my car. The color is Silver Frost Metallic and the bottom is Black. The springs are suspension techniques and the shocks are toikco blue's

Some people were saying that the stillen kit isnt being sold in pieces anymore. I want the whole kit but I have a lot of engine priorities before I spend the money on the kit. The kit is the cheapest and nicest I have seen for our cars. The whole kit shouldn't set you back much. Maybe $650.

one more thing. if you plan on doing the lowering job yourself make sure to look extra close for a few things.
1. they give you the correct spring compressor. i mad 4 trips to the auto store and they still couldnt seem to give me the right thing. i ended up just taking it to the garage and had them compress them for me. they didnt charge me anything
2. when doing the rear struts. the upper strut plates(dont know the correct term) need to be aligned correctly. i screwed this up on mine, and it took 4 different mechanics and me taking it back aprt again to pick up on how i f'd it up. be very carefull of this, many cars do not need this to be done. if you dont do this correctly when you drive the springs will bounce off the upper strut mount and it will sound very clanky.

good luck

sorry for not including this in all one message. lol. i just keep thinking of more stuff to say. the stillen kit is only $500 for the complete kit. i just called them about a month ago. that does not include the wing though. also, ive been trying to look into this more, but rumor has it that a company has made a skyline conversion kit for the 3rd generation maximas! i still have not found out what company makes this and the price, but i have been talking to someone that deals with motorex and he is going to find out more about it.

I got them from http://www.ptuning.com the fSTB was $80 and rear was $160. They don't sell the rearSTB anymore.I'm trying to find somewhere else that sells them...the FSTB from there is for the VG only (SOHC 160hp).

As for the lights, the camera kinda makes them look funny there. They are (4) 194 superblue's with higher wattage. It really looks a lot better in reality. I'll try to get a better picture of it and update my "sig".

yeah they are...too bad STB's and brake stuff are the only things for the maxima they sell (besides the 2nd gen pacesetter exhaust). Oh well...they still are awesome at getting the stuff to you really quick.
