5th Gauge Cluster Light?
I recently swapped out my 92 GXE gauges for 91SE (125) (I've had in four different sets of guages and my previous ones were 94SE's but they seemed calibrated wrong so i just swapped them out) gauges and put Blue LEDs in them, looks good and all but i noticed something odd... These gauges have 5 lights in the back, instead of the four which ive always seen. Is this normal or what? It almost looks stock altho theres some dirt or something around the edges so maybe it was soddered or home made, but either way i didnt take pics, my bad, but ive got a picture that helps explain this...
On all the guages ive seen this pin was for nothing, but on the gauges i put in it had the same old copper strip running to a regular looking light housing/socket, is this a 91 and prior thing or what?
Also, what is that light between the radio and climate control for in the 89-91s? I saw it in a parts car i was stripping but didnt see it work, is it covered by the radio trim normally? does it help lighting much? I have one in my 92 since basically my whole interior is from a 91, and i just hooked up the light but will have to wait for tonite to check it out.

Pretty sure it's the overdrive light, i'm too lazy to check and confirm. The radio trim on pre 92's is different, there is a hole that lights up the double din. For the record, there are two types of O/D lights, one is just another indicator light, the other has writing on one of the gauges.

i thought about it being the overdrive light but its notthing like my 94 se gauges, this bulbs has ILL written next to it on the circuit board or w/e, and its written stock, its for illumination and right when i twisted it in it lit up like the other 4..altho it could be the o/d switch i doubt it, altho tomorow i could look again... well w/e its just interesting..

But like I said, there's two different OD lights, or should I say two different clusters. One has "OD Off" written on the fuel/temp gauge, the other is a normal indicator light, I think that is where it is located on the idiot light type.

I know about the two different O/D lights, when i had my 94 se cluster i had it... but this doesnt look like that, and these gauges have the o/d in the warning light areas off to the side. This light says ILL and is lit up all the time, it doesnt even provide much light where its at, I still dont get whats up with this light, but i guess thats tha...
