Quote: i meant his. i have a fondness for that kind of rim but was curious what size he was using. I'll probably use 17s tho, because i think i'd like a tiny bit more metal showing, but his looks nice as-is too. plus the tire width vs rim width changes how the sidewall flexes as well (as displayed by Aaron's MT slicks when he got wider rims). I think that overall 16s and 17s look best on our cars... I'm not much for skinny skinny rubber. tho I'm rocking stockers right now, and hopefully will have better tires to use on tuesday.

anyhow i'm done post whoring since i own a VG.
If you plan on using BBS Rims, MAKE SURE you find them with a center bore (diameter) of 66mm instead of 61.6mm; (Rare, if any). Otherwise you'll have to have them bored out even more by a machine shop which isn't that cheap, they are a gorgeous wheel in my opinion, but do your research on them first, I found out the hard way there are more variables to take in when finding nice wheels than lug patterns and offset.

hey those SR20Ve blocks got power for 4 bangers. they produce as much hp as the maxima ve. i had a friend back in oklahoma city with a 200sx se-r with SR20Ve engine drop that was hella fast and would keep up my max.

I wasn't talking smack about it... They're pretty powerful for their size because they have veetack.

They are only 3hp shy of a VE30 but they don't have near as much torque.

I've learned that the best way to not get flamed is to not talk about at all until you've done it and have plenty of pictures to show everybody.

I forgot about progress. Basically, if you have some sort of proof that you have done or are doing something cool/unique/noteworthy, you won't get flamed at all. People get flamed because they talk about doing stuff that they usually won't do. It's easy to say that I'm going make an awd, rb26, 2 dr, maxima, but how easy is it to do it?

I had a 1994 GXE, Sold it to my cousin, still see it weekly. I have a 93 VE-Auto now (Pearly), and a 94 VE-5 Gold Parts car helping me out with the swap. (Fugi43's old car)

Hah, I actually bought some VE emblems up at the Toyota dealer....

Quote: I'm still looking for a 92 VE w/o ABS w/o leather w/ A/T w/ sunroof no rust less than 150k for about $500.
but it's hard to justify spending money on it since the Subie beats it in every way except power (which can easily be remedied)
I have one that meets those requirements except it has 173k miles (but drivetrain is strong) and is a '94. Oh, and it's in FL. Let me know if you want pics. I could probably let it go as is for $500.

Boy I know how that is...my mom was backing out of the garage one day when I had the 92 GXE and nailed my rear right corner. Fortunately, no body damage for me, just paint, but mom did not get off so lucky. The Town and Country suffered a good punch in driver's door.

Any thoughts on going back to the retractable one?
