some bad news...

it is my sad duty to say my ve is dead...well not really dead.

heres the long *** story.

i was heading west bound on chicago heading out to the junkyard.
doing about 35-40mph.
now there was a car on the left lane and i was on the right.

This 01 ford taurus was turning left in front of us not yeilding.
the car on my left swerved onto on coming traffic to avoid hitting her.
i swerved to the right about to hop the curb to advoid hitting her...BUT SHE STILL KEPT GOING!!!!!!!! THEN BAM!
she hit the my side the front and rear door i bouced off her and the l/f fender and bumper hit the pole.

i get out and walk up to her she says:
WHERE DID YOU COME FROM.
me: i was on chicago straighaways mam how could u not see me?!
her: you was speeding you was driving to fast.
ME: MAM i was going 35-40.
her: u tore up my car.
me : look at your car and look at mines.

i then call the police.

her: go ahead call the fu#king police. call your motherf%$king momma.
i call the cops she calls her friends.

her: this ni$$a just hit my car!

i took pics of her and her plate.
a woman and a man shows up.

she tells her side and im like : if i did'nt swerve i would've hit you head on and we've would've been hurt.

her: i'm hurt now.
me: i am too!!!

i call the police again they tell me not to get into a confortation(msp?)with her.
i go to my car get my insurance info. go back and she (the driver) walked with the guy and her friend drove off in the car.

so now it's a hit and run.

she just got the car too and i know where from.
so i have a police report call my insurance company and they said they was gonna come and look at her...we'll see.

so to make her drivable is if i replace the driver side rotor, and inner/outer tierod and lugnuts.

but uh yea imo she's considered totaled.
but luckly a good friend of mines found someone who selling a 3rd gen so hopefully this week i'll get it...

but man i thank god that i survived this crash....nissan knew what they where doing when they designed the maxima.

R.I.P.

stuff like that is why I keep a disposable camera in the car.
step 1. make sure everyone is ok.
step 2. grab camera.
step 3. call cops while taking pictures of driver, cars, plates, their ID and insurance, and surrounding area.

and any other cars that were there to see the wreck...

My cousin was involved in a hit and run situation similar to that...he got her info/plates n all then she just kinda like took off before the police came..she paid up though (had no choice)

but the greatest ending to this story is that you're okay!

that car be scrap metal.

BTW if you look on your insurance card you should see something called uninsured motorist coverage (or something of that nature). that coverage is intended to pay you if the person who hit you has no insurance

In Cali, a left turn (without arrow) means you wave your right of way = Automatically left turner's fault, with few exceptions. Since the other person have also a hit and run, That MFer is going to spend at least one year in jail.

oh it is her fault.
and that same day they the guy at the auto shop was saying that some black woman was taking pics of my car.

i know she's totaled. when i seen her i cried...literally (no i'm not gay.lol).
and the rocker panel was'nt like that till she hit me.
all she needed was the front cylinder head and she would've been the perfect running ve.
i got the vtc clatter to go away.
knock sensor "mod".
timing set perfectly.
ect sensor.
injectors.
coil.

Uhh, crying doesn't mean you're gay dude, I doubt anyone here would have said that..

Crashed my folks Max in 2000, and I started crying a few times.

Someone totalled my Max in March of 05 about 5 months after I bought it and I jumped out of my car and called her some names.

Someone totalled it again a few months ago and I said "hell yeah, it's payday".

calling him gay would have opened up the chance for this smiley:
that one is always funny.
seriously, if some ***** b**** smashed my car, blamed it on me, and bounced before the cops showed up, yeah, there'd definitely be

i thought that kind of insurance was mandatory... at least in NC. or maybe it isn't, but my dad got it for me anyways. I know i'm glad to have the towing insurance...

Sorry about your car! I had a very parallel experience this past November in my (immaculate) 99 SE. My boyfriend was driving it to work on I-285 in Atlanta. The traffic slowed down, but the people behind him didn't. They slammed into the back, totally demolished my trunk frame, warped both quarter panels, etc. and took off. They didn't have a tag, either, so they got away. And, as luck would have it, I only had liability since that one wasn't my daily. It was totaled and I still had like $2k left to pay on it.

People suck!

I know it's cheesy, but just be glad you're okay. It could have been a lot worse.

whoa! in NC you are mandated to have full coverage on your car if it is not paid for.. hence why my friend's elantra is still fully covered, even though the engine threw a rod... and he owes $6k on it. And his replacement car is fit to throw a rod too. Go figure? Point is how did you only have liability on a financed car?

Oh but he's done shopping 92 GXE with excellent running engine. PERFECT running order. Smooth as can be and quiet as a whisper. Its charcoal grey just like the SE (RIP). It'll never be as fast as the VE stock but it runs so nice for the price he's paying for it. Its gonna cost him less than I paid for mine.

At the original poster's request here's a picture of the litigant, WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE.
