Susp. Tech. Springs

Has anyone bought any of these lately? I see the eibachs everywhere but i don't want that rough of a ride. I know they are out there so if someone can give me a reputable site to purchase them from i would appreciate it.

Lurker, newbie, Maxima Enthusiast, Maxima Fanatic, etc, etc, just depends on how many posts you've made. I became a "Maxima Enthusiast" without even owning a car because I was yakking so much

I would say the single biggest thing that affects the ride quality of a maxima would be the rim/tire choices. On most any spring, if you ride on 18s and 40 series tires, the ride is going to be rough. But if you ride on those same springs w/ 16 and 50 or 55 series tires, the ride quality will be much softer.

I've got 17' on low pros i don't know the number off hand. If enough of you say that the eibachs will be better i'll do it. I'm just worried about havin a rougher rider. Let me know fellas i got that good finacial aid check from school so i'm rollin in the dough and i want to drop the ride...

I have Eibach/Tokicos + 17x8(235-45-17 tires) The ride is not rough at all. For me I don't want to go any lower than the 1.3" Eibach drop. But the s/t springs should be fine for ride and clearance also. 1.5" drop. Anything more and you run the risk of having camber problems(ie.. springs/intrax etc..) more than 1.5" drop.

The ST springs are stiffer than the stock ones, and i have not had any problems with clearance, but i don't think they perform as well as the eibach springs. My buddy just put eibach springs on his 16v GTI and that thing rides like it's on rails now.

MY 17X8s with 245/45/17s and INTRAX(1.75" drop) fit just fine. You'll have to roll the rear fender lip.
