93 injectors

Hello guys I haven't been here in a long time. I haven't had any problems with my 93 sohc in a while. Just the other day I started the car and it was running really rough. To make a long story short I found that one injector stopped firing. It just happened.

I bought a used set and tested them. All tested good but one and they fire strong. I used a old harness to connect to each injector and the needle went all the way to the right(on 1x and 10x setting). It's the same method I use for a continuity test. Is this a good way to test them? The bad one the car reads 0 just like the bad used one.

One more thing. When I got the injectors it appeared some idiot tried to take them out and smashed the plastic clips on the end. They have 4 fingers on them. Should I relplace them? I can't get them to pop off without destroying them. Where can I get them from? The dealer?

Thanks
WES

Nissan has to have a part list on them. If I go to the junkyard that old brittle plastic is just gonna break again. I need some new ones so I can rip the old ones off and snap the new ones on.

I don't know what you mean by metal ring but if it's the tip your talking about then they are like buttons.

do a search of this section for pintle caps. there is a place that sells replacements, though on some injectors they aren't needed.

My man!!! That's what I was looking for. Thankyou so much. I did some reading and will not put that injector back in without the cap.

Piece of mind means a lot.

No smartypants. No where near. I've swapped out injectors on cars I modded and help modded and these things are durable as crap. I still can't believe this one just died. I have tugged, stomped, hammered, heated, ect........ on so many injectors. The are surprisingly durable.

If it was some sort of sensor that would be a different story. I'm gonna stay with the used ones. I'll clean it and will be good to go.

do u have the connector that uses a metal snap ring ?? if so, goto the dealer and get the injector repair harness that was used for the 2nd gen maxima fuel injector harness recall.
