Replacing Clutch on 92SE

Will someone give a list of the major things that I will need to remove to get to the clutch. I have replaced quite a few clutches but never on a FWD car. Also any other tips will be greatly appcerated.

Thanks
Jason

It's about the same. Once you get the tranny off, it will look just as familar. The only thing about the FWD is you have to remove both halfshafts to get the tranny out. Judging by your questions, I would invest in a Nissan or similar service manual before attempting this. To ask someone for all the details on this procedure is not very realistic. Good luck

Yup.. I agree with Jeff.. Buy yourself a service manual. it has all the instructions to do it step by step..

you'll also need the torque specs for it.. AND.. you'll also need to mark each bolt on the tranny as you pull them out. the bolts that hold the tranny to the engine are about 4 or 5 different lengths and sizes. your best bet is to just number them as you remove them (give them the same order as what's in the FSM to make it really easy to reinstall and torque down.)

but the procedure itself isn't too hard. took me about 4 hours to remove the tranny, with most of it goofing around or hunting for the tools I put down and forgot where I put them!

If I were to do it again, I could probably do the whole job in about 3 hours.

pics of the job are on my website, if you can make much sense of what was removed.. (there's a pile of all the parts in the pics too)

I have a 93' SE and i replaced my clutch twice and i just replaced it 2 weeks ago! it fairly easy to take apart but getting it back on the drive axle isnt as easy. it took me 2 1/2 hours to take apart and about 3 to put back together.
