Hey, what's up? I just bought a new Arospeed muffler and I'll be getting is soon hopefully. But, I Was just wondering if anyone knows much about them or maybe even has one. Do you notice any gains at all? And do you think that they are noticibly loud? Because they dont want loud mufflers here in Vermont. They are actually cracking down on illegal car mods here. Which really sucks. I look forward to anyone's input. Thanks!!!

 

if you can see thru the muffler it WILL Be loud... no performance gains from just a muffler, a whole cat back and/or new ypipe will give more gains, muffler is just for looks/sound and if the muffler is a straight pipe, then u may lose back pressure, resulting in loss of low end torque, depending if ur car is 5spd or auto, auto will lose more

 

I have an Arospeed muffler...it is not loud at all..sounds great...You definately wont gain any power on the low end but I felt very very little gain in the mid range...

 

Chris....I think I already told you about my Arospeed. It's not too loud, sounds good, and to be honest I didnt really notice any performance gain. It's just for looks/sound.

 

Hey, thanx for all of the replies. I didnt really expect any gains from it, just looks. I bought the Dual DTM style. I think James, might have that, but I'm not sure. I paid $99 which includes s/h. So I think that i got a good deal. It's basically a universal fit correct? Because it says that is has a 2.5" inlet.
