would a bad throttle position sensor...>

cause a car not to start sometimes? last night i tried to start my car and it was running funny (not unusual as of late) and i took it for a ride and it was still running wierd. by wierd i mean, at idle it would more or less shake. sometimes it would be bad, sometimes not...the rest of the time it just wouldnt start. i killed the battery once trying to start it over the course of a week, and now its fine. what gives?
well about an hour ago i replaced the throttle position sensor and adjusted the idle ("lowered" the screw on the "bar" that comes out of the left of the throttle body) and now its running great! when i turn the headlights on (rewired corners, fogs) the idle dips to about 600, but its still wicked smooth. could this have been my problem all along? some said it was the fuel pump, others the coil packs (or maybe just one), the rest didnt know. my best guess was the fuel pump because the coils werent giving a "spark show".
somebody tell me my max is fine and will start when i ask it to.

Didn't you just say it's running just great now? If the car runs smooth and idles smooth and starts okay, I'd say you've fixed the problem (no matter how bizzare the causes may have been) and you should be happy!!

i guess i just have a problem trusting a car after its had problems. i blame it on a mysterious problem in my first car where it would randomly die and not start anywhere between 2 seconds and several hours.
