Shorted system..forgot to disconnect battery while changing alternator..

Hey all, I had a bad alternator, so as I was changing it today, I made a little mistake..

I forgot to disconnect the battery. As I was removing the alterntor bolt, my ratchet touched the power wire and some sparks flew. My buddy immediately disconnected the negative terminal of the battery and noticed that the positive terminal was smoking a bit.

The install went cool, and no more battery light . However, the dash lights and the brake lights don't work...The headlights do work..

Any ideas?
