this ones funny you can see a pebble beige GXE roll by the crashed Civic at 0:47. dont know if the video counts as street racing talk but its killer funny, feel free to remove my post if it counts

kinda 3rd gen related, in the game Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 3 (based on the Wangan Midnight anime) theres a guy with a Z31 turbo 300zx (VG30ET) and he blasts by at 300km/h and this guy goes "WOW IS THAT THE VG30E ENGINE?" i almost shat my pants when i saw VG30E being mentioned

funny thing is later on another guy says "not bad for a VG30E", then the guy with the Z31's engine blows

So it's a Japanese cartoon about Japanese cars and you're surprised they named a Japanese engine? If it happened on Growing Pains or Roseanne i'd understand the surprise. But not on some anime CARtoon. Reminds me of my friend's co-worker who wouldn't stop talking about how his AE is the main car on some Japanese cartoon show...to some girl he was trying to impress. Even brought up the intro on youtube. Kind of felt bad for the guy.

you mean Initial D. Wangan Midnight>Initial D and that dude shouldnt brag about having the same car as the Initial D guy, the guy in Intial D delivers Tofu in the AE86, and through drifting for ***** through the years b/c his dad is a drifting pro that made him do it, smokes a Dbag in a FD RX7 by using driving skill to his advantage because pretty much everyone else has a more powerful car than him so he uses tactics to his advantage

i never expected a older engine like VG30E to be mentioned in a newer cartoon, maybe L series or something but not VG30E

it had the legitimate rear bumper as well...I saw this a few weeks ago and thought maybe theyd filmed that in the UK or something? but it was Seattle or something
