Not ALL ebay links are nono's here, just the ones about some joe someone selling his floormats or other individual sales. This product has thread worthy potential.

On the subject of the product, I dislike the y-pipes no flex section design, the flex section needs to be there. Without it, there is great potential of snapping exhaust manifold studs, especially if you have or develop a broken motor mount during WOT applications.

yeah the no flex is just asking it to break in short time.
since it's a header there should be another flex ahead of the rear manifold connector.

WAIT...
Come With OBX Life Time Warranty.
are they good w/ their warranties?

OBX is the Devil. It's people like them that have caused HotShot and Greddy to go out of business.

The other problem is that you can't use the same header for both VG and VE, as claimed in the auction

VE has oval exhaust ports, VG has round. the bolt holes are in slightly different locations too.

and the reason we request people not to post ebay auctions is more for the rare part that someone may be trying to win themselves. post it up on a forum in front of 10,000 other people and suddenly you've just turned that guy's chances of winning the auction to **** because of some other goober that snipes the auction at the last second. let the guys who actually spent their time looking for it win the auction, not the guy that stumbles on it in a forum 45 sec before the end of the auction.

for crap like this where there will be another one next week? who cares...

My guess is OBX probably would honor their warranty if the product was purchased directly from them, or a obx certified distributor/dealer, which most ebay sellers are NOT. This is the biggest issue with buying higher priced products from ebay sellers, the usually reputable companies will not honor their warranties because the ebay seller is not an authorized distributor/dealer of their products.

Hey matt: Is obx/pacesetter the same company? The design/look of the headers looks very similar to the crapola pacesetter headers.

O2 sensor is probably there...but from the angle of the pic you can't see it.

but it'll never be as cheap as this. you're better off taking what's here and fixing some of the design flaws.

From what I've heard, the design of those types of flanges allow movement to allow a sort of replacement for the flex section. Notice the spherical shape and the bolts in the package, they have springs on them to allow for constant pressure for a good seal but stay loose enough, due to the springs, to allow movement. A flex section would probably be the safest route but those should work out ok.

Going by the gaskets they would be for the VG... but, OBX doesn't have these listed on their site yet so someone may want to call to find out for sure. Check and see if maybe they're making them for both the VG and VE (with proper port design of course).

Edit:
I went ahead and called OBX (which doesn't even answer their phone as OBX for some reason... anyway) to double check if they do indeed make them. He confirmed that they do make that particular set but they do not make an alternate set for the VE.

Edit 2:
I'm a bit bored... so I went ahead and sent that guy a message that's selling them on eBay. Told him they won't work on the VE and he should note that in his auctions to avoid issues.

Nice to know that someone cleared up the infringement of what these fit. Seems that everyone seems to like making stuff for VG guys ...=(

I assume that they used that design instead of a flex section because Honda`s dont . We all know that this design is a NO NO. Even WSP stopped making Y-piped like this. I take it that OBX didn`t do enough R&D for this product

no....
flex = more money to make = less profit
no flex = less money to make = more profit

They're not the same people AFAIK.

Pace$hitter makes crap 'original' products. Their own designs, but quality is pretty sub par from all I've seen.

OBX copies everyone else's products and sends them to China for production for cheap knockoffs.

I won't buy Pacesetter for quality reasons.
I won't buy OBX because they're what's causing the downfall of all the good companies out there who do their own damn design work.

(Ask Hotshot, Mike Kojima, or anyone from Greddy about them....)

sooo...Pacesetter did the headers for the VG.
you're telling me OBX took their design, copied it, and used SS?

I noticed these a couple weeks ago. I actually sent the guy an offer of $300 and he turned it down. The design is basically the exact same as the pacesetter. If you look at the two obx looks polished and thats the only difference. I will be buying headers in the near future but unless I come into some money I'll prolly just get pacesetter.

That's exactly what I'm saying. It's what they're known for.
Both designs look identical from the pics I've seen of them both online. hard to tell since they're never in the exact same position, but they are close enough in design, layout, and the crappy primary tube design to guess these guys just copied what was already out there. I have a sneaky feeling that the OBX will fit in pacesetter's fab jigs.
