Thinking about an Ebay intake??

For those of you VG owners that are thinking about the cheap 93 accord intakes I do have one piece of advice. The stock intake diameter is 3". Most of those cheap intakes have a diameter of 2.75". Clearly going smaller can not increase air flow but the polished look is way better than that stock crap. So try to find 3" diameter piping if you are planning to do the intake. I'll post some pics of mine soon. That is all.

so you would rather have a poorer performing intake tube because it looks good?

I wouldnt be the first and surely wont be the last. Till I can find 3" tubing it will have to do. Lets ask the others that have done intakes. Did you use the 2.75" tubes?

I used this it on my GXE when I had it, took off parts to use on my VE. Then my cousin ordered one and installed it again on the same GXE I sold to him. It's actually not a bad intake, you just have to remember to get or make an MAF adapter, and a 90 degree bend pipe. I'd suggest getting a 3" 90 degree pipe as the Accord kit claims 2.75", but when measured the interior diameter is closer to 3". On the VG I noticed a bit more low end grunt, and the 2 to 1 downshift (if you have an auto) seemed to be a lot more potent. I can't recall high end changes too much since I went from HAI to CAI at that point.

I am currently looking for a cold air intake for my 91 maxima. Ebay seems to have some good ones but I cant find one for a 91, only a 92 on up. Any suggestions on where to buy one or if there is any difference in a 91 or 92? Many thanks,
joey

The ebay cai units currently available for the 92-94 maximas are only for the VE30DE engine, not the vg30e like you have.
