Of all places, right in front of my school I got a speeding ticket in my MAX. It was for $148 doing 47 in a 25. I really hate that. Oh well...as the cop said, "Keep it under 25"....yeah right!

Speeding in school zones is stupid. Don't be a dumbass and speed where it's not safe. Speeding in general isn't safe! but in a school zone it is just plain idiotic.

 

people are always too quick to judge. going and calling people idiotic when you dont even know what the situation was like. i mean..my school is on a busy road. on either side of the school..there's a speed limit of 40 when all of a sudden you hit the school zone and its 25. i know people that have gotten pulled over for goin 45 in the school zone but it was at night. anyways..why do people gotta be so *****y? i wish everyone would just calm down and actually maybe have sympathy for one another

Not to be a jerk but....... you kinda where quick to judge Police officers. Would you still hate them if they pulled your body out of your car and saved your life after you wrecked it when you were speeding? Btw That was comletly hypothetical but, you get the point

 

i don't know if you're still on this board, but the cop was doing his job. do you go and b*tch at the garbagemen for taking your garbage, i don't think so...and jp, first of all...no. speeding at all, and esp. in SZ is stupid, you're gonna get yourself killed if you don't think speeding is stupid, i'm not saying i don't speed, but i don't think it's not stupid...yeah.

btw, here in s fl, most school zones are 15.

No one is saying that at all. Just don't expect sympathy for doing something you knew was wrong and getting caught. I am sure more people on this board have gotten tickits than not. But we realize there is no one to blame but our selves

I kept away from this thread cause I knew it was bound to be shut down soon with matt telling you that you're stupid for speeding in a school zone (which is right).


School zones in NY are 15 or 25 i believe, along with some nasty speed bumps to make sure you stay slow.
Speeding in residential areas and school zones are exceptionally idiotic. When will you learn that people and children are around? when you finally hit one? If you hit a child you'll lose your licence and probably go to jail, suffer a law suit to your insurance company and perhaps even directly to you also.

My sister was personally hit by a speeder. The f*cking bastard claims the sun was in his eyes. If he knew the sun was bothering him, why not slow down. He got sued by us.

I don't expect any of you to relate to something unless it's happened to you, but don't be a moron and wait until it happens to you beofore you realize that it's wrong to do it to begin with. Childreds lives are at stake. Keep the damn speed down, school zones are only for couple of blocks anyway, is it so hard to just slow down for a few blocks!?!?!? you must be a complete inbred idiot not to realize that slowing down for 2-3 blocks will save a childs life.
