What size speakers go in the trunk of a 91 GXE?

It's not 6x9's, I've checked. It's either 6 1/2" or 6 3/4" (6 1/2" with GM oversized lip). I don't want to go out and buy ones that won't fit, so anyone who knows, please help.

My 6 1/2"s fit easily.. I dunno, maybe dj is right, but I can gurantee you that 6 1/2"s fit very easily. Didn't have to cut or anythin.

6.75. i got 6.5 infinity kappa's and they were a little small so i had to screw em to the back carpet thing with the aftermarket grills. it works, but 6 3/4 would have been easier, but they didn't make kappa's that size

i bought some 6.5"s and i had to make a bracket thing to make it fit cuz the holes didn't line up. maybe some 6.5"s aren't like that, but mine were.

6.75

I installed Kenwood KFC-1786C in the rear deck and they were a direct fit.

Take a look at http://www.crutchfield.com

I just got some Pioneer 6 1/2's with a speacial GM oversized lip, and they fit perfectly. Anything with screw hole on the lip that opens up to the outside will probably fit, though. Ones that have a closed circle for the screw won't fit directly.
