Windshield Wiper timing

A couple days ago the first setting for my windshield wipers stopped working but second and third still do. And when I use sprayers wipers don't automatically come on anymore. Search didn't give me anything helpful, so anyone got any ideas?

I got a spare one too but it doesn't seem likely (at least to me) that the problem is in the switch itself. But I'll replace it anyway.

Luckily the pairing is still ok ... my headlamp wipers do swipe independently

and never return once they've been unleashed.

My solution was to cut em off.

I mean what else there exist between the driver and battery? Can be fuse or can it. Just switch, wiring, connector(s) and motor windings...
