Feedback on my lowred GXE

I have my niew eiabach (sp?) springs that are 1.2" lower and KYB struts/shock in the front and rear.

Car sits lower of course but I must say the ride is very nice. To the trained eye the car looks lowered, especially when going over a "hump" in the road and how the car reacts. Car also corners better too.

All in all im happy I decided to lower the car. Originally I was going to do new shocks/struts only.

Now im waiting on my FSTB, which has been paid for but the vendor has not shipped. Thats another story.

I also need some new wheels too. Im looking at some nissan wheels.

I will also post pictures one day when I get my rims on.

Yeah you should change the topic title to "review of my Eibach/KYB upgrade". Feedback got me in here thinking you wanted opinions.

In any case my car has the same suspension combo, so my sig a pic is a good reference.

You seriously don't know how to spell the kind of springs you put on your own car?

specifically what tire size do you run? i have 225/50/17 which is 10mm taller than stock... so on stock springs i have 5mm more ground clearance and 5mm less wheel gap. the same will apply once i have eibachs on... i will actually have 1.4" less wheelgap but the body will still have that extra ground clearance.

Greeny, on the other hand, runs 225/50/16 i think... so his tires are 15mm smaller than stock... giving him 7.5mm less ground clearance on stock springs, and 7.5mm more wheelgap on stock springs.. so compared to a bonestock 3rd gen, his b&g spring package only reduced his wheelgap 1.3" compared to stock springs and stock tires (but i forget if he did springs or wheels first?) and he has 7.5mm LESS ground clearance, even after the drop.

That's my size, I believe he runs a 205/55/16, or maybe it was a 50/16, I think the ladder. I think the performance aspect of the smaller sidewall, and performance selection of a 225/50/16, rather than say a 215/55/16, outweighs the minute ground clearance loss. Just my reasoning.

well running a smaller tire is like having a shorter gearing... so the multiplier gives you slightly more leverage at the wheels (which feels like a torque increase, on the butt dyno), while slightly decreasing MPG and top speed. i chose to run slightly larger tire when i selected my size, so that i could, when 'going with the flow' get better MPG than i would with a smaller tire. of course, diff sized tires also mess with your speedo too.

what i wonder is... eibach vs b&b vs sprint vs intrax..... length 'at rest' vs spring rate. they are all of course calibrated to give their respective ride heights, BUT, add 400lb of extra weight (slamming on the brakes, for example) and how much will they compress? i'd assume the lower the drop, the stiffer.. but that sort of detailed info would matter alot if you wanted to run a stage2 LTB, for example. Eibachs, as the OP was hinting at, are a great blend of performance and comfort.. and if under load, leave the best ground clearance, then it opens doors that may be shut by other drop kits.
