DOH!!

when you replace the light, make sure you clean all the old goo off and seal the light really well. I can't tell you how many flooded trunks I've seen because people don't replace the black goo on the light and they get a thin line of dirt across the seal. then it leaks slowly forever......

I thought about busting out the ole rubber mallet on it with a rag draped over the area, just to straighten out the dent as good a possible.

If it still looks bad after that, then out comes the bondo.

well, consider this; it took 9 years, and a toothache to do any damage to the body. its totaled. DIBS ON WHEELS!

That sucks. Some a**hole left some of his red paint on one of my passenger doors sometime last night too. Didn't leave a dent though, gonna see if I can clay it off or something. In any case, I'm not too pissed since I'm taking her in to get detailed (by detailed I mean my scratches, nicks, dents, paint chips, ect are getting fixed and probably a good PC to make the paint look better)

Look at the bright side, wait, there isn't one, o rmaybe it could have been worse

PDR guys are miracle workers, not going to be the end-all clearly, but they can get alot of it out.

SUV's clearly at fault Guilty of the same thing, doesn't that feeling suck when you crack it and know what just happened, body work sucks and it doesn't take much, good luck getting it back to nice shape though. $200 deductible FTW, "some duesch in a parking lot must have hit me"

Jeep Grand Cherokee.

she trades cars everytime the moon changes place so the dent will just give her an excuse to hit the car lot later this week.

Ouch.
My dad backed up in to the front fender of my then dent-free '91GXE.
Since it was 0atmeal and too much $$ to get repainted I did what I could with touch-up paint.

I would like to see how you did it. Maybe I can fix my dent. What is the "goo" on the taillight?

Pics coming tomorrow after i replace the taillight.

The "goo" is behind the taillight housing, kinda blackish gooey crap.. it makes a seal to keep water from getting into your trunk.

Yeah, the plastic bumper has shrunk a little from the years of sun damage, so it's kinda "pulled' in on both edges like that.

not bad.. do you have any plans to finish getting the little dents out? or just gonna leave the small dents there and chalk it up to 'it was bound to happen some day'?
