i smell gas but dont see it
i smell gas when i first start my car in the morning. i haven't found any visible leaks and the smell is getting in the car. there is no smell when sitting or after its been driven. i do have the notorious busted manifold bolt on the front and rear exhaust manifolds could this be the problem?
Get it fixed ASAP before you burn your car to the ground...
But no, there's no cause for concern.

It's not a $$ fix, but a necessary one.
There's no cause for concern assuming you fix it. I've seen a scary number of 3 gens in the junkyard with engine fires. I can only assume that the two most common underhood issues (leaking fuel lines and leaking exhaust manifolds) have something to do with that...

Make sure you have new IM gaskets handy and a razor blade to scrape pieces of the old one off.
And what I meant by 'there is no cause for concern' is that just because you smell a bit of gas vapor doesn't necessarily mean you have a leak where liquid is making its way out of the fuel line. Sometimes that's the case, but not always.

The lines under the manifold are visible without pulling the manifold. If you didn't loko at them when you changed the filter lines, at least take a looksee and make sure the injector rail lines aren't showing signs of leakage. It will be obvious when you see it if there is any leakage present. takes 2 min to look...
