RWD conversion

I finally figured out how to do the RWD conversion. While I was doing that I also went ahead and got the BMW headlights and a 5-speed.

I figured for the price it would be better to just buy a BMW

here it is:

Well the M3 engine swap will come as soom as I save another 10K. I'd like to find a wrecked car that way I can scavange the breaks and other little goodies I'm not even gonna try to make this car a fast in a straight line car, with a 0-60 of over 9sec that isn't going to happen. But damn the thing can hang in the twisties

The Max will go up for sale once the new car is delievered. It needs to be cleaned up bad! I'll have a few things for sale once they are off the car, like Eibach springs(6 months old), Addco RSB, Courtesy FSTB. My Kosei's will be for sale too since they won't fit the new car. I'll still hang out here and the other board, share my vast Maxima knowledge with everybody

Wow... anyone who buys a car on eBay has ***** of steel. Then again, if it's just going to be swapped, who cares? Good luck with it, man, it won't be cheap but you'll have a crazy fast car on your hands when you're done.

Yea I did have some reservations about buying it, but for the price I couldn't pass it up. There has only been one owner, other than the dealorship as far as I can tell. The same car in local papers usially sells for $10-11K. I figure even if I have to put a grand into it it will still be a good deal. I doubt I'll have to put that much in though, I'll just do a regular tune up, belts, breaks and the like since I won't know for sure when they had ben replaced last.

speaking of RWD conversion....

I read awhile ago about a guy with a Laser that he converted to RWD. He also put a mean engine in it and all that fun stuff.. Total HP was around 500. Not bad for a junker econo car. He said it took him two years and tons of trial and error, but could be done. If anyone were to seriously attempt that on a max, it'd be pretty cool, but, of course, outrageously expensive.

HoJo, how much are you looking to get for the Eibach's? I might be interested. Let me know, thanks.

As far as all the parts go, none of them are off the car yet. I will try to get this done over Thanksgiving break. I will post them in the For Sale forum when they are off, I'm not sure about prices yet.

Uh oh! Looks like the vultures are circling already Hojo! They come out whenever they hear the words "parting out" or "selling the Max".

But I got a hookup at the local dealor. He is a porter there, I have also turned in an application, and his discount is around 10% over cost. They don't care how much stuff he buys, he just brings in the part # and they order it
