goodridge ss lines

FYI i installed the Goodridge stainless brake lines and the fittings had to be replaced because it leaked. (not deep enough ) other than that they have been ok.

did you convert from rubber? or just replacing some other brand SS with Goodridge? Driving impressions (heh, well, stopping impressions)?

Is there any quality difference between Goodridge ss lines and Russell ss lines?

BlehmCo carries/carried stock fitment SS lines as well as the Z conversion lines.

They're not made to order tho. They're off-the-shelf Technafit lines for our cars. I have the Z conversion lines custom made for me, but the OE fit lines are off the shelf kits.

Not sure if they have any more 3 gen kits in stock. email sales@blehmco.com and see if they do or not.

is the reason the z conversion lines are custom because you have them done in SS? like, these at autozone (which are rubber), they don't fit? I'm just wondering.. i knew that stock max lines don't work on the z calipers, just never knew if the only way to do it was custom product, or if the OEM Z32 lines worked.

Do some research.
No, the factory Z32 lines don't work.
No, the factory Maxima lines don't work.
You need a custom line with the proper fittings at both ends.

Matt used to make them (he sent me mine). I installed mine at the same time I created my 13" BBK, so it's hard to say how much better braking would be if I JUST installed the lines.

I can say, however, that rubber lines will only expand enough to make stiffer SS lines a nominal difference at best. The do last longer (to my knowledge) and look great, though!

ok, that's what i thought i read.. was just making sure. I'm not even sure which direction i'm going with my front calipers in the future.. mainly depends (as we talked about) on what wheels i have at the time. I'm looking at getting some 17x8 350z wheels for sizing and looks, if they happen to have enough spoke clearance for the Z calipers, great, if not, i have bigger fish to fry.

All the 350Z wheels will fit with no problems. They clear the Brembos, and the Brembo calipers are fractionally larger than the Z32 caliper.
