My Cruise Control has been out of commission for the past 9 months or so -- just went out on its own without any warning. The green light won't even come on which tells me it is not even engaging to begin with. I think my ASCD relay fuse is a likely culprit because the system wont' even turn on. The brake switch when it fails will at least allow the green CC light to come on so I know that is not the problem.

Has anyone ever had to replace their ASCD relay fuse and had success fixing this problem? Or, did it turn out to actually be a bad CC on switch for some of you? Thanks.

 

try swapping in another fuse if you can't use a testlight to make sure it's still OK, but also you may need to replace the ASCD Hold Relay, which is what controls turning the green light beside the steering wheel on (and the system itself of course)

 

Okay, I tinkered with the relay fuse and cleaned it up a bit, all CC systems working now. I am still curious who has had issues with their ASCD relay fuse. Thanks.

most of the time, fuses do not open by themselves. was it a super burnt fuse or just opened?
