alright, I've about had it with the max... now she fails emissions. here's the deal, i ran it through once, it failed bad HC: 2.0266 grams/mile (limit 0.8) NOx 4.3368 grams/mile (limit 2.0) i replaced the filters & a faulty O2 sensor then ran it again this helped somewhat reducing HC to 1.7423 & NOx to 4.1757, still not anywhere near the legal limits... what else should i check? I have to spend $370 before I am exempt from emission requirements.. I could really use my plates back!

If you got alot of miles on the car, try a new cat. When I put my new RT cat in, emissions levels really went down. I suppose the cheaper carsound unit would do the job also.

What about an O2 sensor? Have you checked that to see if it was in spec?

I think he said he replaced the 02 Sensor.

Where do you people live that you have to go through these emissions inspections? Is this just a random thing they stop you for. I live in Georgia, and I don't know anyone that has had to do this.

its a wisconsin thing, they're hell bent on the environment out here.. i think it cuz of all the cities out here chi,mil & mad..yeah i replacedthe o2 sensor thatwas faulty
