Rims

hey, i'm sorry to post another thread about rims, but i'm dumbtarded when it comes to offset and proper tire size for rims. either way, does anyone know if rims off of a 2005 mazda 3 will bolt up to our 3rd gens?
245 40 r17. Bolt pattern is same as ours, sall i know!

yes, but might give u problem in rear and u might have to put atleast 12mm spacer on rear..fronts gonna be fine...

ok so learning to read wheel thingies here: 245 40 r17
the 245 is the ________? half the circumference of the rubber (on outside?)
the 40 is the ________? (offset?(+))
the r17 is the ________? Rim diameter so 17' rims here.

the 245 is the ________Tire Width from sidewall to sidewall
the 40 is the ________ ASPECT RATIO - hieght of the tire's cross section to its width....basically the bigger the number the more height tire will have...
the r17 is the ________ rim size that tire can fit on...

i think they will rub the strut tower. Go with less offset

yea, i mounted them on the rear and i made sure they wouldn't rub the tower, they have about 1 cm clearance between edge of rim/rubber and the tower itself pretty tight. but will it be the same in the front?

front has more clearance than the rear.
