How Did You Separate the Inner Tie Rod Joints?
Did you guys do it with the rack in the car?
The parts car I devoured, had these new tie rods, and I tried to separate it at the joint inside the boot. I used a pipe wrench on one side and an adjustable wrench on the other, it wouldn't budge...but it looked brand new (but no antiseize).
Note: The Tranny was removed so I had access to only the L one.

Thanks man - I tried that though, it was so tight and the position was awkward. Anyways, I had to leave and the parts car is gone finally.
By the way, where do you store dirty used car parts if your going to keep them? The parts are dirty as hell and starting to take up space.

I don't think so. Maybe it's accessible from underneath - but the only reason I could access it was because the tranny was out. Check from underneath - I didn't try that.
I think you need to remove the steering rack maybe, then do it with the rack outside.

I used an air chisel to knock em loose. I highly recommend using thread lock when you install them on your car. When I installed mine I kept inspecting due to the ackward installation angle, the damn thing was coming loose so I went to advance auto and bought a HUGE wrench I think the size was 1-1/2 and just tightened the tierods from the engine bay by turning your steering wheel until you can see the tierods.
If you go to a parts store, have em pull out the inner tierod so you can match the wrench size to it. Dont forget the thread lock. good luck. This is possible with a VG as far as I know, I tried recently with my 95 (VQ) and there was just NOWHERE to possible tighten from the engine bay.
