vg30de head studs???

well I have been thinking of getting a second engine for the max and putting on a sts turbo setup eventually. so here is my question. because the VE30DE and VG30DE are similar enough to use the same con rods and pistons as well as cams and such can us VE guys use the head and main stud set the the vg30de would use? also one more small question can the VE use the VG-DE valve stem seals?

VG30E, SOHC on all 3rd Gens unless they were the SE models with VEs.
Specific reason for the different engines being that the VG30DE wont fit.

You can do it....Measure up how long they need to be to fully engage into the block threads and protrude about 1/2" above the head. I ordered a set of general studs for a non-specific application that wasn't covered for that specific vehicle and everything worked out fine. All you need is the bolt size, thread and lenghts ( 2 differents lenghts for a VG). However you might not be able to remove the rear head in the vehicle...not sure! Try ARP and Raceware!

well I plan on having as many parts of my VE30 coated like pistons, heads, exhaust, and barrings with swain tech coatings to help with the 10:1 compression and 3-6psi of boost. thanks for the tips ive never taken messure ments of them but the junk yard is having a half off sale this weekend to i will get some bolts and look around

You can use a depth gage or sliding Vernier Caliper! or a pencil you just need 2 approximate lenghts!
