just bought my 2nd 3rdgen, a 91 GXE. the C/C hasnt worked since I picked it up...i tried replacing the switch on the wheel-nothing; the relay under the hood by the battery-nothing; the C/C motor/vacuum unit itself and cable-nothing

any ideas? experience?

 

I've had the same problem with mine for years. I went through the test proceduer in the FSM and every component works fine and the signals to and from the computer check out but the dash light won't come on and the cruise control never works. I've tried three different cruise control computers (ascd), replacing switches and relays and nothing has worked. I finally gave up, it may be a computer problem with mine but I don't have access to another maxima to test if my computers are good or not.
