My transmission acting funny

It randomly starting shifting "late" today, when I hit the gas the car goes up to like 5 RPM's then slows down and shifts, or if I want it to shift regularly I have to take my foot off the gas at like 2 1/2 to 3 rpm's....... I go home and checked the tranny fluid level is ok1 what could this be???

check your TPS, it is one of the inputs the trans computer uses to know when to shift

if it's leaking tranny fluid then it's your torque converter seal.
if it's leaking engine oil then it's your rear main seal.

the seals are cheap...it's the labor you have to worry about.

ok great..then you're all set.

but IMO your funny tranny might not be the fluid...since you did say the fluid was at the right level.

pull the tranny and then swapping the tc seal and throwing it back a bad tranny is a waste of time.

No. He's saying maybe your power steering is leaking the fluid which is the same fluid the tranny takes.

seals could be going bad inside the tranny.... if there's not enough/correct pressure it won't shift when you're expecting it to... torque converter could also be part of the problem, if it's acting as if it were double clutching into lower gears... that's the crap I'm dealing with right now... prolly gonna get a jy tranny to swap out with.... then rebuild mine again...

sorry too lazy ritenow to explain (jus came back from gym) but this should explain well how to diagnose ur TPS sensor

i like the continuity test...u can fine tune ur tps with that, i did it and its working very well...seems like thats wat TCU AND ECU care about the most
