My car was jacked, I need an AM alarm
Hello! I recently had my car jacked in, this happened a couple of months ago and never got the chance to upload the pictures but here they are ![Frown](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)

Well, the point is, I want to get a better alarm than the stock one but I don't know what to get and how to install but I think I can do it my self, does anybody have any advice? Thank you very much in advance.

Get any DEI 2-way with LCD. All relays are built in so installation is as straight forward as it gets. Read through the installation manual and figure out where the correct wires are located in the car before going ahead with it.
There's plenty of add-ons you'll want to take a look at or else the alarm isn't that much better than the stock one.

I'm looking for something really loud and hopefully one that activates after touching the car, because my stock one never goes on until the lock is pulled manually or opened the trunk without a key which of course it's too late

also tape away the few wires you wont use if any depending
you'll thank yourself later
i remember paying hundreds for an alarm on my 77 caddy when i was 17
nowadays more like less than a hundy or free from other cars
"fool i'll steal your alarm, and put it in my joint"
also that one shop install i paid too much for didnt even come with the manuals or offer programming options
the one i bought had manuals and i learned to program it how i wanted
(longer siren, silent arm\disarm,auto arm with no lockout,no ignition controlled door locks, longer lock\unlock signal(since my 92 rear left door wasnt always unlocking all the way with the default shorter signal)adjust my own sensitivity
depending where i live,etc.
if you go to a shop ask them if you can pick options, take the manuals too

Crimestopper CS-2016-DP2-FM2, or any crimestopper product. (A quick visit to their site shows new GPS units and touch remotes with rechargable batteries, and other new units)
DEI alarms are crap. I would NEVER buy one of their products based both on experience, and other's experiences. They are very easy to disarm, from what I've heard.

Let's hear about your experience. Not what you've heard via word of mouth. Any alarm can be shut of within seconds if the installer didn't take any preventative steps. It's called pop the hood and disconnect the battery or clip the siren.. That's where backup measures and stealth installation come into play.
