Trouble on hills?

It feels like my car is stressed when going up hills. I have a '90 se. Even when i take it off Overdrive it still has trouble going over 30 mph going up hills and this is bad when its on the highway and the speed limit is 60 mph. :X

another thing is after going highspeeds on the highway when i stop, the engine will shake the entire car where you can notice it and passengers can even notice it and it will shake even more violently when i open or close the windows.

Thanks.

It sounds just fine and it doesnt misfire at all.

It has new oil, oil filter, air filter, cap and rotor, plugs, wire plugs.

Just no get up at all. It could be injectors.

And it only has 52k miles on it so i don't see how the engine should be bad at all.

generally speaking injectors = misfire. how's your ignition timing? has it been ajusted at all recently? how's the timing belt and tensioner? could it have slipped a tooth?

hmm.. possibly. the timing belt was adjusted about a month ago and it ran smooth but now after nothing has been changed, it idles about half an rpm higher and recently it doesnt turn over like it normally should. usually takes a few seconds.

adjusted? as in the belt tension? try and find out what was actually done. also what's your level of mechanical aptitude? you may want to remove the upper belt cover and doublecheck the cam timing (with the crank pulley at cyl#1-TDC)

Check the tranny fluid level. Make sure the engine is HOT, so check it after driving it a bit. The dip stick should be hot to the touch when checking the level. If its real dark in color, then do a drain and fill.
