replacing cruise control cancel/brake switch - help

I just bought a new pin switch for the cruise control - it plugs into the stem of the brake pedal and cancels the C/C when depressed. But I cant figure out how to remove the old one. It's way up there, hard to see, and hard to get a socket or open-ended wrench on. Advice? Anyone done it before? Thx

just use an open ended wrench. one with a swinging head might help, if you can find one. just loosen the nut and the switch should come out with it
