Thread callout for the EGR tube off the exhaust manifold.

Anyone have a callout for the EGR tube port threads on the exhaust manifold of the VG? I would like to buy a plug to delete the regulator, but don't know the thread pitch and size and don't want to take it off just to measure when I'm sure that SOMEONE must have one just laying around. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

for some reason it's not a thread size that's available off the shelf. i've looked high and low and i don't see it anywhere.

if you want to cap it off then cut off the pipe off the current fittings and weld the holes close.

i cut the pipe on mine right at that bolt and sealed it with high temp epoxy. I couldn't find a bolt w/ correct thread etc either, the guy working at the local fasteners recognized immediately that "the thread must be japanese or something" anyway, they couldn't find a replacement in there stock.

talk to aaron. He may sell the plug that you are looking for as a part of his spacer kit. I picked up a plug from him when I installed my spacer kit.

Those block plugs are very tough to find. We include them in our Thermal Intake Spacer Kits and the EGR Block Kits for the VE30DE. The VG30E Maxima has the same thread and our block plug should work great. Since we do not sell many EGR Block Plate Kits for the VE30DE, I'd be willing to break up one of our kits to sell you just the plug you need.

Here is what the block plug looks like:

You can read more about our kits for the VE here:

Email me at [aaron@nwpengineering.com] and I'll get you an official price.

Yes I bought one of these from Aaron a couple of years back and it works for the Z31 turbo manifolds as well. I thought I might have to weld it in to keep it from backing out but I used a little Permatex copper gasket maker and it hasnt budged.
