1/4th Time ?????

Hey just wondering what kind of time I might expect with my car in the 1/4th mile. I have a 93 GXE auto with timing increase jwt popcharger and racing muffler and some weight reduction (no spare tire in) Dip into your knowledge and give me an idea of what times I can expect. Thanks

FAQ you, newbie.

BTW, you'll be lucky to break out of 17s on a GXE.

Re: 1/4th Time ?????

You won't break out of the 17s. Not because the car is slow but because the driver won't let it .

Thats an awesome time. I bet your car was pulling 2.4-2.5 60ft times. If it was then all you have to do is drop it the 60ft time to 2.1-2.2x and you would run low 16s. However with the stock convertor that might be very difficult.

Reaction .580
0-60ft 2.5 sec
e.t. 16.553 @83.2 mph

It was like 50 degrees out and I did that thing yall talk about with turning on the heater to take hot air out of the engine.

Timing Increase is at 20 degrees.
No spare tire in no extra weight.
Mods are Pop charger and racing muffler.

Power braked it then shifted myself through 1st and second then went to drive. 0verdrive off and transmission set to power

Thats very good. Cut a 2.2x-2.33 60ft and your car will run 16.1-16.2s .

Re: 1/4th Time ?????

Yeah I know I could cut a better 60 ft. time. My car does sort of spin and hop at the line, I am getting a front strut tower bar soon, I think that would help stabalize my front end so maybe help me get a better 60 ft. time?

Thats about what I ran mine 1/4 in this summer with my GXE.

16.53
R/T .5821
MPH 82.06
60 FT 2.4278

So it’s definitely possibly to break into the 16's. My only performance mod is an Intake, and a tranny cooler, which isn’t gonna drop .5 off my time.
